If however it happens again, please take a note of: Time and date, if it rained, if you walked fast or slow, if you talked on your mobile at the time and if you carried your wallet in your left or your right pocket. We have no report of anyone else experiencing the same incident at that place at that specific time so for the moment we’re unfortunately unable to assist you. Gates, this seems to be a random incident. He went to the police station to complain, but after an extremely detailed questioning, the policeman said: Well dear Mr. This type of problem always reminds me of an old joke that goes something like this:īill Gates was walking down the street when he was hit by a falling tile. I’ve been using and recommending Videostudio for more than a decade, but lately the latter seems an increasingly hard sell.

If that works, you can (usually) later delete the new Profile and VS should still be available under your original Profile.īeen there, done that (Boot/Profile) alas no luck.

I guess that's a long way of asking if you tried rebooting? The only other solution which works for some having a similar difficulty as you with previous versions is to create a new Windows profile, making sure it allows access by all users, and then install VS in that Profile. I have no idea why I get this problem as no one else has reported it, IIRC.)īut in each case, if I rebooted and tried installing before opening any other program, the installation would go smoothly and successfully. It runs in the background of all Corel programs periodically checking that the program is valid. (Note that Protexis is a controversial addition made to VS several versions ago. I understand that this is frustrating since the installation process is so slow anyway, and aborting takes about the same time as it took to get to 35%. If I tried again, I got the same message at the same point. Retry and Skip simply brought back the message and in the end I had to abort. Instead, always at 35% of the installation being complete, I got the message that "Protexis Licensing X64 could not be activated - Abort, Retry, Skip". But I didn't get that particular message.

I have to confess that I too have had problems with the installation of both X6 and X7 on both my Win 8.1 and Win 7 64 bit machines, though they eventually installed on both.
