I then got past my knee-jerk reaction and took a moment to consider who was going to be portraying my beloved characters (super important) and that the same people would be handling “my baby” (Farrelly Brothers) and quickly realized that this was going to be a great sequel. When I saw the trailer for Dumb and Dumber To, I was very skeptical and decided I wouldn’t watch it. Sequels just seem to disappoint over and over again. I also dreaded the inevitable poor rehashing of priceless moments that worked so marvelously the first time around causing those moments to lose their sentimental, humorous, and/or memorable value. Every time it happened, I would cringe at the thought of my favorite, oh so perfect movies being ruined by the lack of continuity, creativity, and disregard to the spirit of the original. What ensues when Harry finally agrees is a bizarre encounter with an old lady and more hilarity because of their sheer stupidity.
